supreme

Supreme’s clothes were designed to be worn out, not just worn.

Channeling the japanese art of kintsugi (repairing pottery with gold lacquer), Supreme will embrace the beauty in the broken by offering a free patching service.
my role: art director
copywriter: Lamar Phillips

The red patches allow you to embrace the life and history of your clothing and make it uniquely yours.

Continuing the idea, cracks in sidewalks and walls around skateparks will be filled in with Supreme’s red to again highlight the history of an object/structure and to help out skaters, Supreme’s original market. Some will be branded with short headlines.

And of course you can fill in holes/cracks yourself while providing some free advertising.
